Devotion
History:
Devotion is a group of
dedicated and committed
individuals from different
professions who have devoted
their skills and expertise
in the cause of serving
the humanity in need.
The members of this group
have been contributing
a lot for the cause both
in individual and group
capacity. In 2006, the
members of the group decided
to institutionalize theses
efforts and this resulted
into the establishment
of Devotion for Sustainable
Development in the year
2006.
Legal
Status:
Devotion for Sustainable
Development is a society
registered under the Societies
Registration Act 1860.
Devotion has initiated INFAQ Student
Support Program (ISSP) with the objective to
provide financial aid to those needy, deserving
and intelligent students who are already studying
in the universities or who are planning to get
admission in the institutions of higher studies
in Pakistan.
In the first phase i.e. starting from August/September
2010, as a pilot project, we intend to provide
financial support to the students/potential
students of International Islamic University
Islamabad, Pakistan. ISSP will be extended to
the students of other Pakistani universities
in near future, insha Allah.
The applicant would have to fulfill the criteria
devised by the board of directors of Devotion.

To assess the need of direct interventions through
a multi-pronged strategy, by conducting research
on various dimensions of sustainable development
of the society with special and emphasis on Education,
Health, and Human Resource Development.
Devotion's vision is to see
a society free from all kinds of social disparities
and discriminations, which deprive some sections
of the society of their basic human rights like
education, health, and access to justice.
